Five things we know about Martin Freeman's Richard III

The set was carefully being moved into the Trafalgar Studios yesterday, there's just a week to go before the Jamie Lloyd-directed, Martin Freeman-starring Richard III opens. Here are five things we know about the production:

1. They won't be playing down the murder:

2. There's going to be plenty of stage blood

3. It's modern dress (ish) - am I getting a hint of 50s/60s colouring from those suits?

4. Martin Freeman is going to be scary (kind of thought he'd rock this):

Jamie laughed when he recalled the first rehearsals, watching Martin act some very, very, very scary moments on stage.

From this interview Jamie Lloyd gave at West End Live

5. There is an office-like setting with rehearsal pics showing Martin Freeman sat behind a desk and what looked like a huge reddish wood desk was among the bits of set being unloaded from the removal trucks at the theatre yesterday.
